Randy Zipse is the Senior Counsel of the Advanced Markets Group and is responsible for its day-to-day management. Mr. Zipse has published articles on trust taxation, estate and business planning concepts, and business succession planning. Prior to joining John Hancock, Mr. Zipse was in private practice, specializing in estate planning. He received his BA in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and graduated first in his law school class from Drake University College of Law.

Marketing Counsel
Rachna Balakrishna is Marketing Counsel of the Advanced Markets Group. She works closely with the John Hancock field force and its distribution channels. She is responsible for the development of innovative advanced marketing materials and programs. Prior to joining John Hancock, Ms. Balakrishna worked in private practice specializing in estate and business planning for affluent clients. Ms. Balakrishna received her BA with honors from Harvard University and her law degree from Georgetown University School of Law. |

Sr. Advanced Markets Consultant
Daniel Castle is a Sr. Advanced Markets Consultant who provides advanced case design support in estate and business succession planning cases. Dan has been in the financial services industry since 1985 helping clients and their advisors with personal financial planning, business succession, deferred compensation, estate planning and qualified retirement plans. Prior to joining John Hancock, he had worked as a producer and as a sales manager as well as vice president of a Boston-area planning firm that specializes in estate and business planning. During his tenure with John Hancock, he has also worked as a National Account Manager and as Director of Training. Dan did his undergraduate work in aerospace engineering at Tri-State University in Indiana as well additional studies in liberal arts at Mt. Vernon Nazarene University in Ohio. |

Richard Gutowski
Senior Advanced Markets Consultant
Prior to joining the Advanced Markets Group he worked with agencies that specialized in Executive Benefits and Estate Planning, providing technical sales support and administration both pre-sale and post-sale. He is a graduate of Bentley College and received both a BS in Management and an AS in Accounting. He has over twenty-five years of experience in the Life Insurance industry. |

Advanced Markets Manager
John Harrison, Director of the Advanced Markets Group, manages the Advanced Marketing Consultants. The consultant team focuses on case design and sales support to producers in the field and other departments in home office. John specializes in designing executive benefit plans and gained this experience working 10 years for one of the world’s largest insurance brokerage companies in their Boston office. He began his insurance career with the Boston branch of Manulife Financial working in the Brokerage division. John earned a liberal arts degree from Siena College in New York and a Masters degree in Social Work from Boston College. |

David McNamara
Associate Advanced Markets Consultant
Dave McNamara is an Associate Markets Consultant. He works closely with the other team members to provide advanced case design and solutions to the JHFN field force. Prior to joining the group, Dave worked in various roles, including Advanced Markets, sales support and call centre. He received his BA from the University of Massachusetts and is currently working towards a JD and MBA from Suffolk University Law School.

Prior to joining the Advanced Markets Group, Ana gained experience as a financial advisor for over five and a half years and then worked for a brokerage firm providing sales support and training to agents in the area of life insurance. She received her BA from Wellesley College. |

Kristin received her BA from SUNY Genesco, she graduated cum laude with a JD from Suffolk University Law School and earned an LLM in Taxation from the University of Washington Law School. |

Joe has over 25 years experience in the finance and insurance industry, specializing in the estate and business planning market while an Agent, and, Advanced Market Training while at Prudential Insurance. |

John Snider is Associate Counsel and Assistant Vice President of the Advanced Markets Group. He is responsible for providing John Hancock's field force and distribution channels with advanced case design support and research materials. Mr. Snider was one of the founding members of Manulife Financial's Advanced Markets Group in 1996, and has worked in Advanced Markets since that time. Prior to joining Manulife Financial, Mr. Snider was in private practice with Husch & Eppenberger where he provided estate, business and charitable planning services for moderate to high net worth clients. He received his BA from Graceland College, graduating summa cum laude and first in his class, and received his law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law. |

Marketing Director, Advanced Markets
Lina is responsible for the development of innovative advanced marketing resources and initiatives relative to the applications of insurance products in sophisticated planning cases. She also manages the marketing of proprietary planning software and field training programs on advanced sales concepts. Lina has published numerous articles in various trade publications and is a speaker at various industry events. Lina has been in the insurance industry for 20 years, in various roles including underwriting, sales, and advaced markets consultation and marketing. Lina received her B.A. from Trinity College, CT, and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York. |

Bill has joined the Advanced Markets Group as an Associate Advanced Markets Consultant. He provides advanced marketing support and case design to John Hancock's career agency system. Prior to John Hancock, he worked in the field as a financial consultant and as an equity trader. He also brings four years of inside wholesaling experience with John Hancock's Life and Long Term Care division. Bill received his BBA with a concentration in finance and marketing from The University of Michigan Business School.

Mr. Zygman has over 35 years of experience in the financial service industry. Prior to joining John Hancock, Mr. Zygman was Second Vice President of Advanced Planning at Lincoln Financial Distributions and Vice President of Advanced Sales with Merrill Lynch. Mr. Zygman primary responsibilities include facilitating complex advanced sales to provide estate, trust and annuity specialists with the expertise, strategies and tactics needed to close significant life insurance and annuity sales. Mr. Zygman is a graduate of Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan (B.A. in History and Political Science, M.A. in Economics and Post-Graduate course work in Accounting). Mr. Zygman subsequently received his JD from the Detroit College of Law, Detroit, Michigan. He is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar. |
